430F Stainless Steel Square Bar
Type 430F stainless steel is ferritic straight chromium steel. Type 430F provides moderate resistance to corrosion and moderate strength. It does not provide good welding properties, but it can be welded, if necessary. Type 430F cannot be processed by heat treatment.
Grade 430F stainless steel typically available in bar form and mostly used in automatic screw machines. Due to its resistance to nitric acid it be can used in some chemical applications.
Type 430F is the free-machining version of type 430. Due to the addition of sulfur, it provides better machinability than type 430.
